It was a blessing to accompany Conrad Lampan during his six days in the Pacific Northwest.  This humble man of God  delivered a fresh word from the Lord and ministered a sure touch of the Holy Spirit.  We saw people stirred.  They responded in joy and with tears.  Conrad challenged us to believe God for a transforming work in His church in America.  He invited us to press in for more of God's blessing in our personal lives.

While Conrad is ever calling the church to revival, this trip was special as it introduced to his American audience the wonderful work of an Argentine "children's home" and the home's directors, Conrad's brother, Raul and his wife Mirtha.  This precious couple are giving their lives to provide care and love to scores of children from the streets and courts of Buenos Aires.  Mirtha insists that the program be called a children's home and not an orphanage, because once "the children come to the home they are not orphans ever again."

The home is confronted with a special need at this time.  The portion of a bible college they have used for housing the children is needed by the college creating a rather urgent need for the home to acquire a new facility.  Because of this, Conrad has used this tour around the US to gather support, both financial and prayer, for the home.  It has been a delight to see the response of the people to the appeal to help the children.  One meeting turned into an evening of prayer and impartation for all three of the Lampan family as the congregation prayed over them.  At each meeting Christians provided gifts of money to aid in purchasing land for the home.  But the need is great.  The US offerings have been gracious but the crisis in New York and Washington DC seems to have diminished giving.

Conrad carries a deep love for America and the Lampans will have driven over 8000 miles visiting churches across this country with a message of appreciation for the ministry of the US and a strong reminder that God is still Lord.  Conrad has activated a boldness in the churches by instructing entire congregations to touch a large American flag and intercede for this country.  He brings to our communities a word from the nations of identification with the pain we have endured.  But he also reminds us that in tragedy God has done some of His greatest work raising up His church.  The global effects of the incredible Argentine revival came out of a nation struggling with crisis.  We are challenged to expect that the Lord is preparing us for a mighty visitation in the midst of our desperation.

The visit of the Lampans has been both rich in the things of God and timely in its ministry to our people.  We are so grateful for them and have grown to love all three of them for their hearts as well as their faithfulness.  Conrad, Raul and Mirtha have shown us how the Holy Spirit's miraculous renewal of the church in Buenos Aires has produced both the mighty signs of mass conversions, deliverances and healings but also the deep work of mature character and Christian servanthood.

We look forward to future ministry from Conrad.  And we hope to participate with Raul and Mirtha in their caring for the needy children of Argentina.  May God grant them all His richest blessings.  And in your generosity, may you, through your giving, be a vehicle of that blessing.
